I do not know what else to say.. I am still in SHOCKED...
Well, believe it because it IS reality that you won this game, Chris!

Well, it was sad news indeed when Zach passed away. I didn't watch much of his videos -- just a couple at most. Well, be thankful because as they say: Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Heart problems are almost impossible to detect it seems, but who knows.

I'm not sure what you are getting at.
@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames The Dial tone buttons were pressed when he wanted to stop the board.
We didn't have any remote programs at this time, so everyone had to either use the dial pad or say "stop" verbally.

Rest In Peace TheZachMan18
Yes indeed. 9 years since he left this world.
Bottom line is this year was stacked with talent. RV coming in and RC going out - Very Pivotal point in Motocross and Supercross history.
Yeah, no question about it. James Stewart was seen as the heir apparent to Ricky Carmichael's throne, and in a sense, that did not happen. RC didn't have much left to prove and he still went out there for as many wins as possible. Chad Reed was also on a quest to be a Supercross-only racer, but then he made the best decision of his life to come back to MX in '09 while Stewart repeatedly threw his life away going SX-only at 23 YOA and having so much complaints about the backwards-framed Yamaha. RV did really well in the Lites class despite he didn't really break many records.
Enjoy your videos and positivity man!
Thanks.
I love this wheel of fortune version video game
I believe you have said that already; furthermore, ONE comment will suffice on my videos.
Hi I'm Jimmy nice to meet you Matthew
There is no need to reintroduce yourself since you did that to me last year. Secondly, your comment does not relate to this video.
This is the race that got me thinking Villo was going to be really special. The way he used very different lines to get by the guys in front of him was a sign, to me, that this guy's going forward in both the race and his racing future.
I think this was also the race where Villopoto had put a strangle-hold on the title until that DNF at Washougal moto 1, and Mike Alessi would have to do something special to save the title. I agree though; Villopoto rode a lot like Carmichael did at this time.
@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames Pretty sure they said that Alessi held the c'ship points lead during this broadcast.
@@johntomasik1555 Yes, but what I meant was that it was only a matter of time before Villopoto would get the points lead back and/or win the series.
@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames Ah. Gotcha. Yeah, when I saw him ride like that, I felt the same. Yanno, and I'm not a "fan boy", but I gotta admit that Deegan has grown on me after watching the nationals this year, especially Thunder Valley. I flagged that race (I'm the guy with the headset on in the pit before the big Monster Energy triple). I was reminded of how Carmichael rode when Deegan would go by. Saw Carmichael live at Hangtown (I think it was '97? Maybe '98?). He was overjumping a tabletop and when he'd land, the ground would shake. He rode like he was mad at the track. I'm seeing that in Deegan. Not a fan of the Deegan media-noise, but damn, he certainly rides angry. Villo looked that way, too.
@@johntomasik1555 Yeah, I also thought Villopoto would do great things in both the 250cc class and the 450cc class, but I also had a feeling Villopoto would go through a learning curve in '09, and for a bit, I was right. Deegan is really surprising me because I was thinking he might go through some hardships sooner or later, but it seems like for a lot of guys, those days are long over. Lucky you that you got to flag the Thunder Valley race. I also see a lot of Carmichael-like speed out of Deegan, and maybe a bit of Eli Tomac on the 250 machine. I repeatedly tune out the media-noise on Deegan. He's putting in great rides, and that's really all that matters in my view.
I like ty. But damn, if you said his name one more time. There two or three riders. If they would have got the whole shot he would have lost by 20 seconds. I noticed you didn't talk about why he wasn't running paddle tires and why everybody else was. No damn wonder he got a good start. Again I love ty but anyone who races or freaking rides bikes on the weekend's nose that pedal tire is going to kill you on starts. It rained like a b**** before the race and all the teams picked wrong. Ty has never ran a paddle with a factory engine and suspension. That's why he got ran down twice by deegan over 15 seconds in less than 15 minutes. Ty. Got lucky and I'm glad he did. But he was lucky.. if he wouldn't have got the whole shot and deegan or Tom did ,Ty would have been 20 seconds behind at least.. it was a great and emotional win but but he was lucky he got the whole shot because everybody had paddles
Well, it was a feel-good story, that's for sure, so could you blame me? I can get better in that department down the line. TBH, I didn't mention the paddle tires because I didn't even know about them. I'm just a viewer and a fan, that's why. I knew Ty Masterpool could put in rides like that, but it was very disappointing he was always hurt. After that first moto, I had a few doubts because you get one good ride somewhere, and backing it up is so hard! Deegan coming from the 30s to win moto 1 was tantamount to how good the guy really is, but I give him props for almost pulling off two come-from-behind rides back-to-back on the same day. I'll have my 450cc recap later this week.

And your comment does not relate to this video.
I think a lot more people are realizing Stewart was overrated. He was mainly just dangerous for the other riders and dirty. A lot of top guys can go fast but it’s dangerous to do so. We also can’t overlook taking adderal which is literally legal version of meth and makes people more aggressive and “fast”.
Overrated is something I'm a little mixed on. I don't disagree with the "dangerous for other riders" tidbit when you look at the incidents he caused on the track, especially when most of (if not all of) them were 100% preventable. Stewart taking Adderall was likely because of all the hits to the head he took, but it's hard to believe (and sad at the same time) that missed paperwork just about ruined his career.
What a shame stew took a break from outdoors after this season. Him only having 1 motocross title is mind boggling. He should’ve had at least three titles with that talent
James Stewart going Supercross-only at the prime of his career was certainly a bad decision one way or another. When Jeremy McGrath went Supercross-only in 1999, he was 27; Chad Reed did so in 2007 at age 25, but he came back for the '09 season. James would very much have won (if not contended for) the MX titles from 2009-11, but his complaints about the 2010, '11, and '12 Yamahas really brought out his true colors at that time. 2009 was worse because Yamaha did have a bike available when it was revealed Broc Hepler would not be contesting the Motocross season that year due to a concussion at Vegas.
I am Happy you set a New Record today, Mathew of 100K
Actually, $100K is not my highest score; I did have a win of $244,000 earlier in my run.
You’ve just won $100,000!!!!!! ONE HUNDRED THOUUUUUUUUUUSAND DOLLARS!!!

@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames It’s all good. You still did great though.
@@matthewdemichele1073 Yep. Things happen though.
Your one heck of a Jeopardy player. Keep up the great work.
Thanks. I guess it was just my game to win $100K.
Stewart was just a wild, dangerous rider. He caused so many others to get hurt, I feel he's overrated. A lot of people could go that fast it is just dangerous to do so. He looks odd being so small on the big bike and looks odd in his gear.
It was no secret I disliked James Stewart because of those reckless incidents that took other guys out because most (if not all) of them were 100% preventable. He was one of the most disciplined on a motorcycle, too -- especially with how closely he watched the races from back in the day (like I did).
Crazy how 14 years later, Tomac, Barcia, and Anstie are still racing. Deano too kinda with his current retirement.
In a way, yes it is. Eli Tomac is the only one of those three who went on to the elite statuses though.
Fuck man

Honestly, this race was a major nightmare to me as a Chad Reed fan to see his Yamaha give up the ghost with 3 turns remaining. Unfortunately, what you see is what you get; I do not have this race in a better quality after using blank discs to record my collection of races on them.
@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames yeah, it was a pretty harsh deal for Reed. back in the day, I was into AMA superbike and would video tape them every year and just tape over the old races when I ran out of room. have to say I regret doing that :D
